JAMES CANNINGS of JGC ENTERTAINMENT CO/JC RECORDS, (USA) and CITIROCK-SERENGETI (Ghana, West Africa) signed a manufacturing and distribution  contract, wherein CITIROCK-SERENGETI is contracted to manufacture, distribute and promote, "THE BEST of JAMES CANNINGS," an album, on cassettes within the territory of Ghana. According to Ms. Vida Kwatina Marketing, Director of CITIROCK, cassettes will be available on the market at the beginning of September 1999.

After JAMES CANNINGS' performances at PANAFEST' 99 - a biennial International Festival in Ghana, that also featured RITA MARLEY -- he continued on a promotional tour of Ethiopia and Kenya where he was interviewed on TV, radio and newspapers. In Kenya,  where he also did a safari, he negotiated a deal with Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK), wherein it is agreed that MCSK would represent the music catalog of CANNINGS' performing rights organization, OUR OWN PERFORMANCE SOCIETY, (OOPS), within Kenya and its territories.

Recently JAMES CANNINGS agreed to export his CD "The Best Of James Cannings" to Tower Records in Israel. The CD is at present available in Tel Aviv Tower Records Stores.
